1. After "Love Day", Homer throws away a lot of garbage and he gets in a conflicts with the garbagemen. Because of this incident, the garbagemen stop taking his family's garbage anymore. The garbage in his house builds up very fast. Instead of homer, his wife apologizes by writing a letter to the springfield sanitation commissioner. He gets to know the fact and he comes up with an idea of running. He runs for the next sanitation commisioner election and barely gets any votes. However, he has some difficulty because he spends too much money by fulfilling his promise. In other to solve this problem, he receives the garbage from the garbage companies and he throws it away into the springfield. As a result, many garbage pile up in underground, so the garbage erupts above ground. Eventually, the Mayor make to move the entire town .

The episode shows a small thing can grow a serious environmental problem. The small actions can solve the environmental problems.
